This is my Static, careful the Attic’s a mess….
So, recently Poison.nu opened up again for blogging and other grand fun. I used to surf 5ilver.net almost everyday when I was about 15 years old and I loved it. Out of curiousity to see if Mindy was still around I went to her site, and sure enough, there she was. She really inspires me. And that is the reason behind this blog. I guess one could say that I am envious of her. I want to come home everyday to something familiar that I love, such as this site. I want to make it into my baby, I want to spend hours trying to figure out a domain name. (That is exactly what I just did, not hours, but a good hour. So, STATIC IN THE ATTIC it is. What do you think?) I picked Word Press, because obviously that’s what Mindy from Poison.nu uses, so it’s gotta be good. I’ve had around 10 blogs in my day. A lot, I know. I’ll make them, maybe write in them a couple of times and then that’s it. Fin. They’re old and forgotten about. I don’t want that to be the case with this one. I want it to live on into my adult-hood, so I, and whoever reads it, can see how I grow up. I want to get back into web design. I want to immerse myself into it.
So, after an hour, you ask, how did I come up with Static in the Attic? Well, I brainstormed for a while. I went to thesarus.com and searched for words that described me, that took a while. But I found nothing that I fell in love with. So, next I went to my myspace. (YES, I have a fucking myspace. Get over it all you haters.) I kind of played around with the bands that I love (Incubus lyrics…), books that I love, movies, ect. I really like this band called A Static Lullaby, and I like the work STATIC. Static, Attic, they rhyme…. then it hit me, Attic could equal my mind and Static is my thoughts and emotions and things of that nature all stired up. So, this is my static. The attic’s a mess, but hey that’s how I roll. So, plans for this blog, this time. Let’s see… I want what every other A-lister blogger has: writing, pictures, a cam, views on life, opinions on books I read and movies I watch, and a sweet ass design that I change once a month or so. That’d be perfect. And ya know what? I’m gonna have it. For a LONG ass time. Look out Mindy, here I come.
